An Open Bloh To Katy Perry:Her God/GAGA Fearing Ways…..

katy-perry-rs-0810-4

Recently Katy Perry has been rather outspoken about her strong dislike for Lady Gaga’s use of religious themes in her music video for Alejandro believing that it is blasphemous and exploitative. Speaking to several figures in the press, Perry is yet another insecure artist to be added to the long list of figures in the industry speaking out against GAGA. Perry recently spoke out on the issue of God and GAGA in the latest edition of Rolling Stone:

“I am sensitive to Russell [Brand, her fiance] taking the Lord’s name in vain and to Lady Gaga putting a rosary in her mouth. I think when you put sex and spirituality in the same bottle and shake it up, bad things happen.”

Ms. Perry, we think the gays are sensitive to you lampooning lesbianism and  yet she sings the following lyrics:

I kissed a girl and I liked it, the taste of her cherry chapstick
I kissed a girl just to try it, I hope my boyfriend don’t mind it
It felt so wrong, it felt so right, don’t mean I’m in love tonight

And Perry’s playful banter didn’t end there with the track Ur So Gay off your debut album One of The Boys which saw her “emasculate” a once significant other by equating him to gay stereotypes. We guess suppresed groups such as the LGBT community are up for debate and free for you to represent in which ever way you feel Katy, but when someone like GAGA who wants to use religious imagery tastefully in her video you, Katy, think it’s justified to ridicule her and go on an endless campaign to tell her that she is wrong not only for her use of the image but also dare we say for her position in defending the gay community.

Meanwhile your conveniently showing all but your nipples in countless photoshoots. Talk about blasphemy???

Katy, the public does not come to you for your political opinion…we come for a light pop tune with some occasional belting with a quirky twist… We could say so much more, but we’ll stop here…

Has the Acting Bug Bit GAGA?

Reports are coming in that GAGA is interested in stretching the scope of her growing influence into another realm of entertainment, film! How a la Madonna of her?!

“She’s very excited about a movie, but she wants to do it right. She wants to work with the best people in the business,” a source tells News of the World.

The report also claims that the film Gaga wants to make is a cross between Michael Jackson’s 80s Moonwalker flick and Beyonce’s Dreamgirls and that director Bryan Singer is being discussed for the project.

We like the sound of this if it’s true. If there’s one artist who could possibly expand her music into the powerful visionary world of film during these times it’s definitely GAGA!

“Straight music is never going to be enough for her. If she isn’t breaking new ground and doing new things she doesn’t really feel that she is truly alive,” adds the source.

Well we’ll support and we’ll give a cheer: LIVE BITCH, LIIIIIIIVVVVEEEE!!!!

Beyonce surprised her fans with a special gift a few moments ago releasing a sneak peek of the video for Why Don’t You Love Me which is a bonus track off her the re-release of her I Am…Sasha Fierce album. The song will not be a single so we’re guessing this is just something extra for her fans.

We see GAGA’s has left an undeniable impression on Beyonce as this video captures the same theme that Telephone was going for….

Regardless of what haters such as M.I.A. have to say about the artistic integrity of GAGA one thing’s for sure, she’s truly the force shaping the industry right now.The 24-year-old pop superstar placed No. 1 on the list of artists who most affect our world, beating out Oprah Winfrey, Prince, Elton John, and Marc Jacobs. She joins the company of leaders such as President Obama, Bill Clinton, and Steve Jobs.

“When I see somebody like Gaga, I sit back in admiration. I’m inspired to pick up the torch again myself,” wrote  mentor Cyndi Lauper. “She isn’t a pop act, she is a performance artist. She herself is the art. She is the sculpture.”
