We’re perching our lips and thinking catastrophe at the sight of Beyonce’s latest House of Dereon Collection. The woman makes how much money? And she nor her team can’t put together a line let along a campaign that will have staying power. Beyonce’s clothes don’t speak for themselves, they’re simply Beyonce’s clothes and that says a lot about the collection, don’t you think?
Victoria Beckham has successfully put together a line that is well respected by the fashion community and worn on many of red carpets. Beyonce we suggest you hire a ghost stylist/designer and let them have all the input in the world while you sit pretty…ya know kinda what you do with your music and those now infamous writing credits….
And a note to all Beyonce fans because we get so much mail from you all: We like her music, but we call it like we see it meaning that we’re not gonna eat everything she’s feeding us without a critical eye.

We’re definitely playing with fire when we say this but we think we found “IT”….the best performance of Michael Jackson’s monumentally influential career and it doesn’t involve a moonwalk (a la Billie Jean) which catapulted him into a realm of superstardom out of this world, nor did it involve the anti-gravity lean (a la smooth criminal) which had eyes poking far out of their sockets, nor did it involve any sense of heightened reality so accustomed to the entertainer.It was at the 1993 Soul Train Music Awards that Michael Jackson quite effortlessly took to his thrown and sat over all in his kingdom (the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles), all of whom more than graciously followed.
It is clear that Michael had well beyond made his mark for this performance as it did not require him to move a muscle due to the fact that he had “sprained” his ankle. Although we’d like to think Michael simply wanted to sit back and enjoy the show as he was in his home on the stage and his audience had proved to be beside themselves. We kind of have an inkling that his ankle wasn’t sprained though and that the joke is on us. The entire performance he looks as though he’s just itching to really go full on into routine but doesn’t want to spoil the fun of watching his FAME simply work/speak for itself.
This performance truly is a treat to watch not only because it’s a trip down memory lane to when I was the tender age of 7 (weirdly I remember this performance so vividly) but because we truly see the mania and the taken for granted talent that Michael was towards his later years. No one, not Beyonce, not Britney, not Chris Brown, not Usher and definitely not Rihtard, past or present, could hold the stage as he does by simply sitting. The excitement Michael creates is truly unparallel to anyone that I’ve seen, heard or can think of. It’s truly amazing during the video at around 4:35 the entire audience becomes so sucked in that they’re actually cheering over the Remember the Time track.
We all truly know Michael had influence, that’s definitely been proven after death as he remains such a prominent fixture in our media, in pop culture and in our lives. Yet we think we’ve never seen the power and influence of Michael so eloquently argued more than in this video. Simply amazing, long live the King as we approach what would have been his 52nd birthday.

The report also claims that the film Gaga wants to make is a cross between Michael Jackson’s 80s Moonwalker flick and Beyonce’s Dreamgirls and that director Bryan Singer is being discussed for the project.
We like the sound of this if it’s true. If there’s one artist who could possibly expand her music into the powerful visionary world of film during these times it’s definitely GAGA!
