BLAKE-LIVELY-INTERVIEW

Blake Lively covers the September issue of Interview Magazine where she  discusses the awkward task of performing sex scenes with Ben Affleck for her upcoming movie, The Town.

“The sex scene was really awkward,” the actress tells the mag. “It was my first day, so thank you for that.” However, the actress says “I guess it was good to break the ice.”

Not only is Ben Affleck her co-star, but he’s also the director of the film so we’re sure it was a bit awkward.

The Town will be out in theaters next month, while Blake is currently back at work for Gossip Girl for the upcoming season! We can’t wait for Blake to conquer more territory, go girl!

History Making Cover As Halle Berry Graces The September Issue Of Vogue

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

The door has been opened once again by Halle Berry. The actress is the first African American woman to be featured on the cover of the all important September issue of  American Vogue.

Naomi Campbell was the first black woman however as seen in the documentary The September Issue which followed Anna Wintour. Back in 1989 Wintour said that Naomi’s cover caused “huge controversy to put a black girl on the September cover”.

Mario Testino shot Halle wearing 6 velvet dresses by Giorgio Armani, Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and Escada.

Halle Berry historically became the first black woman to win Best Actress at the Oscars.

Mario Testino shot Halle wearing 6 velvet dresses by Giorgio Armani, Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and Escada.

You can read Halle’s whole interview at Vogue.com.

Here are some extracts:

On the so-called Oscar curse: “People win Oscars, and then it seems like they fall off the planet. And that’s partly because a huge expectation walks in the room and sits right down on top of your head. The moment I won the Oscar, I felt the teardown the very next day. I thought, if I’m going down, I’m going down taking chances and daring to risk. Hence …Catwoman.”

On her breakup with Aubry: “It’s just that you realize you are not meant to go the distance with everybody. … We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that’s why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever, all three of us.”

On the biggest misconception people have about her: “That I am this brooding, twisted, lovesick person who just can’t get it right in life. Every story about me is so heavy and dramatic. That’s not how I do life. But that’s the impression people have, and that’s what keeps getting reiterated. As if I’m still stuck in all the muck of the past. And I am so not.”

On asking Nahla to say Berry’s name in case she ever got lost: “She thought about it for a second, and finally she said, ‘Halle Blueberries!’ Blueberries are her favorite fruit. … I’m just glad she didn’t say ‘Halle Blackberry.”

Rachel Zoe looks stunning in the September 2010 issue of Harper’s Bazaar in a shoot that immortalizes the stylist and influential fashion figure’s famous catch-phrase “I DIE”.

The editorial finds Zoe in different circumstances at dying at the hands of highly notable fashion designer Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and Brian Atwood.

During the shoot here’s what some of the designers had to say about the slave to fashion that is Rachel Zoe:

Marc Jacobs: “Rachel’s energy is electrifying…and often shocking!”

Michael Kors: “The perfect accessory can make the difference between looking blah and totally to die for.”

Vera Wang: “I only want to kill Rachel when I don’t land one of her fabulous clients for the Oscars!”

Kim Kardashian Goes Nude For Harper’s Bazaar….

Friday, April 16th, 2010

kim-kardashian-hb-0510-2

Kim Kardashian decided to bare almost all in theMay issue of Harper’s Bazaar in a shoot photographed by Amanda de Cadenet.

The spread is supposed to empower women to embrace their bodies. The reality starlet reportedly opted out of having retouching. That’s a nice thought Kim but we know you have more cellulite than is apparent here. Instead of digital retouching we see yall focused on good lighting, angles and makeup to hide those imperfections….

Kim had this to say during her interview:

Talking about her infamous figure, Kim said: “I don’t get why everyone is always going on about my butt. I’m Armenian. It’s normal. My butt is probably not as big as you might think, because I have small legs and a small waist, which makes it appear bigger.”

On her insecurities while growing up, the brunette beauty dishes, “I was wearing a C cup by the time I was 11. I would go to bed and pray, ‘Please, Lord, don’t let my boobs grow any bigger.’ I hated what was happening.”

As for the concept behind the spread, Kim tells, “I think the message is embrace your curves and who you are. I feel proud if young girls look up to me and say, ‘I’m curvy, and I’m proud of it now.”

Sarah Jessica Parker Covers Vogue, Naturally!!!

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010

sjp1hires222

It’s only fitting that fashion icon Carrie Sarah Jessica Parker be placed on the cover of Vogue being that Sex And The City 2 is due out next month! The actress opens up about her life, children, perspective and of course her movie! Here’s some of what she had to say:

On having children with a surrogate mother: “Meeting your children rather than giving birth to them, it’s as if, um, it’s—suspended animation. The gestational experience is gone. It’s as if everything else disappears for a moment, and the world goes silent and—I can’t explain it except to say that nothing else existed. I don’t remember anything but the blanket on the bed that they were lying on and my husband’s face and their faces and my son’s. It’s literally as if sound is sucked from the room. Time stands still. It’s so different, and equally extraordinary.”

On the importance of keeping perspective: “We painted our patio furniture ourselves…. I make my children’s food myself. We put together their high chairs ourselves; we do a lot ourselves! We do our own grocery shopping, we go to the market ourselves, you know? I do my laundry.”

The upcoming Sex and the City sequel: “We four women, despite I guess what a lot of people hope, have never been better. This movie—and maybe it’s because we actually lived together—it was the best! We were together all day long, at night, in the restaurants, in our hotels. It was wonderful.”

Here’s a video for your viewing pleasure as well:

Are you going to be hitting theaters to see the highly anticipated sequel?! We will!!!
