2009 has truly been a year that we will never forget and the following reasons should explain why!!!!

MOST SHOCKING HEADLINE:

MICHAEL JACKSON DEAD AT 50: Long live the King. He was always beyond imagination and took to the stage at a very young age. He seemed invincible which is why his death was so shocking…RIP MJ

BIGGEST FUCKUPS:

Rihanna And Chris Brown: They were the new Barbie and Ken, the new Britney and Justin….but on one night Chris Brown decided to start a major shit show attacking Rihanna in his rented Lamborghini…But the fuck ups didn’t stop there for these two, it only began….Chris became the undeniable villain acting like a selfish child making not so wise public appearances in clubs and partying like nothing happened. Upon the release of his album he had complete disregard for any questions that were asked about “that night” and would always claim that he “didn’t remember” the incident with Rihanna. Chris immediately became the fuck up of the year….

However, we thought this sort of attention, the victimization of a beloved pop princess like Rihanna would catapult and cement her into a world of superstardom. It appears we were wrong and that she had been paying more attention to her wardrobe then her next album. The G4L singer lost touch with her fanbase(click) and took on an angry ghetto girl persona…

Her Rated-R album though well received by critics (we suspect out of pity), became a flop. So the girl who should have cemented her star power only let us know just how much her team doesn’t know what to do with her…

BREAKOUT STARS:

Blake Lively. She’s only got one hit tv show to her resume, but this girl’s got that America’s Sweetheart smile and she’s already made the cover of VOGUE and starred on SNL… We see major star potential!!!

Taylor Lautner. Does anyone remember New Moon??? People can’t seem to get enough of his body!!!

BEST SONG:

Lady Gaga. She had a lot of hits this year, but one really showed just how epic she really is…The BOSS BITCH herself slayed with a little number entitled, Bad Romance!

FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST:

Lady Gaga. She made us understand that Pop does not have to be low brow….

DOUCHEBAG(S) OF THE YEAR:

Unfortunately, their were far too many douchebags this year….a lot of them were famous…

Jon Gosselin. Does this look like a father of 8???

Tiger Woods. We don’t think anyone was expecting this, but Tiger when we say you fucked up you really fucked up!!! Your line of fugly rugged looking whores is inexcusable….

Kanye West. We always said his mouth would ruin things for him and we’re sure there’s more to come with Kanye. But this was really uncalled for. Who gets in a fight with Taylor Swift, she’s like a freakin angel on earth… Luckily Beyonce, we mean Beysus, saved the day.

Zoe Saldana gave too many good looks this year! She has the class of Audrey Hepburn with a modern twist….

OVEREXPOSED STAR:

Rihanna. We’re sorry but she really is everywhere and usually its for no good reason. Whether it be those meticulously crafted outfits or stories of her personal life Rihanna is everywhere and we’re tired of it. Making her exposure more annoying is the simple fact that Rihtard doesn’t know what she’s doing. When she entered the industry she was a wannabe Beyonce then she became this cute edgy girl who sang pop songs and now she’s this “ride or die” gangsta singing Russian Roulette….We think this girl and her team seriously need to get it together because we’d like a good consistent show!

ICONIC STATUS IN 2009

After the iconic Single Ladies and her massive hit HALO Beysus has definitely reached iconic status. She’s been referred to as the Queen of Pop by several magazines including Rollingstone…..that pretty much says it all don’t you think????

Britney Spears. Although Britney Spears isn’t at the level she used to be at the girl still commands the attention of many as seen with the massive success of her tour. We’re still pulling for her to really bring it…maybe the next album….but that could be asking for much so right now we’ll just be thankful she’s has all her hair on her head!
